'08 Boys State Cup - Let the Games Begin

Time for the kids to take the field and show us what they've got. Good luck to all the players and teams. This should be a great cup with many outstanding match ups in the group stages.

Schedule and results here: http://www.mnyouthsoccer.org/events/statecup.cfm#sched

are you dumb? the former keeper was a 92 and now plays for the 16's

I guess you are dumb? The '92 keeper plays for BHK U16.

The current Bangu U17 GK was not on the team last year. One of last year's keepers went to LKV. The other one went to this year's Bangu 16s.

Both of the Bangu keepers from last year's U15 team left. The one went to BHK U16 and the other isn't playing.

I think most of the remarks on the U17 Bangu goalie are directed to the 'Standout' remarks made earlier in the thread. He's an ok, goalie. His defense should get most of the credit. I believe Gibbs goes to Madison as well so I would not expect to see him on the field any time soon. But I guess you could say he is a 'standout' back up goalie. :)

So I guess that both Bangu U17 and UW have been fooled by this average keeper. They have not seen him play, they are just going by what his parents say?

Seems as though Bangu is losing players to other clubs and cc'c.Could it be because Bangu isn't all it was sold to be.

Enough, ok, ok he's a standout goalie.

He's A-M-A-Z-I-N-G!!!

Oh my god he's s-o-o g-o-o-d!!!

With out him Bangu would be nothing. He's a leader on and off the field. The team knows without him they cannot win.

By the way good luck with the bench splinters. Madison has seen him play and he is an A-M-A-Z-I-N-G backup goalie.

As someone mentioned earlier this GK and his team will be playing in Rockford later this month.

The Bangu GK is good, to classify him as a 'standout' as well as being the reason '91 Bangu team did not perform better against the ODP team is a bit of a stretch. (By the way, I thought the Bangu team performed just fine) He is on a quality team with quality players in front of him. To claim all the glory for him is an insult to the players who support him. Bangu will do well at Regional’s, not because of him, but because they are a good team that is well coached. For him to be a standout goalie, he would have been able to help the Wings last year to finish a lot better than they did in both State Cup and League.

So I wonder if Shattuck players will be allowed to participate in the Thunder Elite Academy...

6:41......I would say no. I think the days of dual rostering for the SSM players is over for many reasons.

I can understand that because now SSM will be competing fully in USYS events by the 08-09 year.
