Thanks to NFCsoccer for a great run with the "mnsoccer" blog. This blog will hope to carry on the tradition of open and fair discussion about the Minnesota futbol/soccer scene...with a South American flair!

I'm glad someone is picking up the ball (or should I say kicking it?) as this is/was a great forum for us soccer junkies to vent our emotions regarding the state of soccer in Minnesota.

Please create a site for us to remember two wonderful soccer moms who passed away last Friday Sept 29 - both on same day.
Carrie Leaney wife of John Leaney at Macalaster College. Carrie was also daugther to Schulz - longtime soccer coach at SE soccer club.
Beth Zeilinger, mother of Totino Grace HS soccer player Adam Zeilinger and surrogate mother to Archie Karpeh at Brandenton Residency in Florida. Longtime soccer mom at Centennial soccer club.
These two women left us and went to the Lord due to breast cancer and people need to hear their wonderful stories. Their support of kids in soccer was tremendous.
Carrie and Beth were in their mid forties.
